All students are expected to be reading for a minimum of 20 minutes per evening. This is to be recorded in the rear of their homework book. I will also set a small weekly task related to proofreading and editing and some basic facts practice for students who get less than 60 in our weekly test. This is due back to school for marking on the following Monday.
Your child will only bring home extra tasks if they have not completed work from a specific day, if this is the case, they have not been fully on task when required to be. I understand that some students are particularly busy with activities outside of school, and if this applies to your family, please do not stress over attempting to get the proofreading tasks completed fully, but I do expect the reading and any extra incomplete tasks to be done. The book used for any extra tasks must be brought back to school the following day.
If time and internet connections allow, I strongly suggest that all students utilise 'Play Mathletics Live' while at home too.
